Tasting Room Associate/Culinary Assistant

Join our amazing team at Cherry Creek! The focus of this position will be mainly kitchen related, but there will be ample opportunity for additional hours in the tasting room and/or during special events. The culinary assistant will be responsible for helping the kitchen manager/chef with the following tasks/responsibilities:

– Food prep
– Plating & serving menu items
– Taking orders & closing out tickets at the register
– Cleaning/maintaining kitchen area & equipment
– Dishwashing (automated & manual)
– Assisting tasting room staff as needed
– Other duties as assigned

When assigned to the tasting room, tasks/responsibilities will include:

– Enthusiastically greet, serve and interact with customers
– Adequately explain our variety of wines/ciders/beers to customers
– Restocking wine racks/coolers as necessary
– Opening and closing cash registers each shift including balancing drawers
– Sweeping/mopping/dusting tasting room
– Serving & bussing tables
– Other duties as assigned

The ideal applicant will be available at least 3-4 days/evenings per week beginning on or around October 1st, 2023. As an Agri-tourism focused business, we are busiest on the weekends, weekend availability is must to adequately fulfill the requirements of the position. Preference will be given to those who have prior commercial kitchen experience, but we are certainly willing to train any motivated/enthusiastic candidates. Pay commensurate with experience.

The candidate must be able to: Lift and carry 35+ pounds, stand for long periods of time, safely operate kitchen equipment, maintain food safety standards. This position is for someone 18+
