SEASONAL SENIOR PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Cary is seeking an energetic, creative and self motivated individual who is eager to enrich the lives of our citizens by serving as a Seasonal Senior Program Assistant- Nature Camp. If you enjoy helping others, have knack for leadership and can balance many moving parts, then this may be an awesome opportunity for you.

The Senior Program Assistant will have the responsibility of preparing, organizing, and supervising age-appropriate nature themed activities and programs for campers in grades K-5; purchasing and monitoring inventory for their programs; and driving a Town of Cary vehicle as needed. The Senior Program Assistant may also exercise supervision over other temporary or seasonal staff and perform administrative work as needed.

Work is highly independent and performed under the general supervision of the Program Specialist at the Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. Camp is located at Fred G. Bond Metro Park.

This is a seasonal (May-August), non-benefited position, approximately 30-40 hours per week, with a maximum of 999 hours per year. Anticipated work schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
