We are a high-functioning community that live and work on a large, beautiful ranch in NE New Mexico. We are looking for individuals that wish to live and work as part of the community first and foremost. Our ideal candidates must be positive, energetic, go-getters, have high standards of work and attention to detail. They must have a generous nature, a desire to embrace ranch/rural community living, as well as a love for nature and the environment. Aside from the ranch’s vast beauty, we have facilities and cottage industries that support our community, including cattle ranching, hunting, forestry, lodge and room rentals, retreats, camping and more.

Our goal is to find the right people to be immersed in community living, while helping to run this beautiful Hunting Ranch, which supports and funds our community and way of life. Everyone on the ranch is expected to help pitch in with any and every aspect of the hunting business, if and when needed. This includes contributing to the hospitality and care of our guests and facilities. When we work together, the load is lighter and everyone has the space to enjoy their time here.

Wheaton Creek Ranch is a natural habitat situated in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Region of Northern New Mexico. The area teems with wildlife, stretching over 36,000 acres in the Rocky Mountains.

Currently we are looking for individuals join our team and help with Ranch and Hunting activities. First and foremost, we are seeking a skilled mechanic to fix and maintain our ranch vehicles and equipment, including both gas and diesel vehicles, side-by-sides, 4-wheelers, tractors, backhoes, etc.

We are building our community and looking to find highly qualified people wanting to take advantage of the many job opportunities on the Ranch. We are very diverse here, with an opportunity to learn many skills and be a part of various projects.

Compensation for these positions will vary based on responsibilities, experience and need.

Ranch Mechanic Position

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, as well as the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspecting vehicles, and making necessary repairs in a timely manner. We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to providing quality service and who takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to repair vehicles.
• Keep records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers regarding vehicle problems and services performed.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $3,000.00 – $4,400.00 per month

Experience:

• Automotive repair: 4 years (Preferred)
• Diesel engine repair: 4 years (Preferred)

• 25% (Preferred)
