The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Mountain Bike Instructor to join our Parks, Recreation and Trails team! This is an in-person part-time position, offering part-time benefits Hourly range: $35.20 – $45.76 Hiring range: $35.20 – $40.48 We are looking for a mountain bike instructor that will assist with the planning and execution of mountain bike programs, will supervise participants and ensure their safety and well-being. Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below: Participate in pre-season staff orientation/training program. Attend staff meetings and in-service training. Organize and lead special activities, enrichment and bike programs, and other recreational activities. Leads or Co-lead an activity group of up to 6 campers through MTB rides/instruction. Submit lesson plans/ideas and supply requests to the Program Coordinator or Lead MTBInstructor Work in cooperation with all staff to create fun, exciting programs for participants of alleges Communicate to parents any necessary information that they would need, such as times and proper equipment needed, etc. Relay information, skills and lesson recap to parents. For the complete job description and requirements click here https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/tosv/classspecs The ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Prior experience working with children and children’s programs Child development and behaviors Appropriate techniques for dealing with conflict resolution and disputes Specific recreational program knowledge PMBIA or similar cycling specific training, preferred but not required. Wilderness First Aid/First Responder certification preferred but not required Intermediate to advanced mountain biking skills with the ability to instruct others College level work in courses related to recreation programming is desirable First Aid and CPR certificates or ability to obtain Our amazing perks and benefits: Accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked Recreation benefit for eligible employees on the amount of $1390 – you can use this benefit to purchase your ski pass!
