Reporting to the Director of Juneau Operations, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for successfully maintaining a professional and responsive sales-focused dialogue with the shore excursions through email. Primary duties will include accurate and timely updating of tour information, providing additional tour availability, responding to special requests, and updating internal operations, sales masters, and the reservation system. The logistics coordinator will oversee all radio communications and dispatch for the fleet.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meticulously maintain tour counts throughout the day
  • Process reservations efficiently while interacting with vendors and customers
  • Report and record all useful information to company supervisors and managers
  • Maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance
  • Maintain accurate financial reports, schedules, and all other paperwork required by ATA. All information and changes must be transmitted to the manager in a timely manner
  • Report on time and fully prepared for work
  • Keep all Alaska Travel Adventures Financial Relationships and other relevant information confidential
  • Sales support for company tour products
  • Dispatching transportation Soliciting feedback on tour quality
  • Maintaining a positive, professional, and customer-focused work relationship with the shore excursions
  • Accurately communicating updates and important information utilizing email, phone & handheld radio with dock staff, drivers, and operations
  • Promoting the growth of tour sales with cruise line personnel
  • Troubleshooting customer service issues in a calm & professional manner
  • Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment
  • Understanding and complying with all company safety & operational policies
  • Respond to ship communications in a prompt, accurate, and effective manner
  • Provide additional tour allocations for ships to sell onboard
  • Communicate any ship matters to the proper team members
  • Accurately update shore excursion tour counts & information and communicate those to the Alaska Travel Adventures team prior to the arrival of the ship as needed
  • Coordinate with dock representatives, sales supervisor, and operations concerning questions, problems, or special requests coming from cruise ship staff
  • Must be a confident communicator, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to be diplomatic, engaging, and motivating in communications
  • Able to prioritize tasks and enjoy a multi-task work environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of Office 365, especially Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proficient working with Excel spreadsheets including creating, formatting, and saving spreadsheets,
  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs comfortably
  • Complete end of day recap reports from sales and operations and communicate to cruise ship
  • Accurately managing updates and changes to tour counts in the work-flow app
