Summer Camp Counselor in Pennsylvania

You will fulfill two roles while at camp. The first and most important is as a counselor. Counselors are exceptional people and role models who have been hired after extensive interviews and background checks. Counselors take the role of caring for other peoples ‘ children with the utmost seriousness and they are ready to and excited about putting the needs of children before their own. Counselors live in a bunk with 8-10 campers and 2 co-counselors. There, they are responsible for each child ‘s general welfare. This includes handling miscommunications, comforting campers with homesickness, helping and guiding campers to clean their cabins daily, and much more. The other part of your job involves teaching an activity that you have an interest and experience with. Activities include coaching sports, leading adventure activities, teaching arts, drama, media, just to name a few.
