Horizon Day Camp, located in Baltimore, is hiring counselors and other summer staff positions. As a proud member of the Sunrise Association, a non-profit agency, our mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings.

With 10 summer day camps and over 30 in-hospital programs, we are the only organization that offers full summer day camps and year-round programs (recreational and in-hospital) for children with cancer and their siblings, and all our programs are offered completely free of charge. Horizon Day Camp serves children across Maryland and Washington D.C.

In 2023, Horizon Day Camp anticipates welcoming 200 campers! We are seeking dedicated, motivated, energetic, and empathetic staff members for our seven-week summer season. We are overseen by a medical director and have on-site registered nurses, a fully equipped Wellness Center, and an on-call ambulance service. Entering our eighth camp season, we provide memorable experiences for kids who otherwise may never get to attend camp. Everyday counts for these children and our goal is to create a fun, interactive, and engaged camp setting, all amid a safe, inclusive environment.Daily activities include music, arts and crafts, sports, swimming, nature activities and more.

Camp dates are 06/20/23 – 08/11/23. These dates include an orientation and development training week before the camp begins. Tentative work hours are 8:00am to as late as 5pm.
