JOB TITLE: Summer Camp Counselor and Adventure Park Attendant

DIVISION: Recreational Services

REPORTS TO: Summer Camp Supervisor

LOCATION: Moonbeam Base Area

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Seasonal/ Hourly

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Early June to mid-August during summer camp and through Mid October for adventure park.

POSITION:

Provide exceptional experience for our Summer Camp children ages 5 to 12 years. Create a safe and fun environment. Participate on a team. Safely operate our adventure park activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18+ years of age
• Possess strong communication skills and strong work ethic
• Have experience working with children
• Able to work and hike outdoors in variable weather
• Able to lift minimum of 40 lbs. with extended periods of standing, bending, and twisting
• Certified lifeguard a plus

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize games and events for children’s age groups
• Quickly complete projects and a variety of tasks with other counselors and staff
• Obtain company training and lead by example to operate adventure park activities
• Professionally interact and communicate with staff and guests in a positive and professional manner
• Communicate any suggestions or concerns to manager in a timely manner
• Support and follow Solitude Mountain Resort policies and procedures
• Ensure camper safety is a priority at all times while in the camp’s care
• Operate adventure park activities when camp is not in session as needed
