High volume, summer seasonal restaurant seeking experienced line cook to assist Chef for upcoming season. Must have strong culinary skills, ability to work a high volume kitchen and must be able to work well with others. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, averaging over 1,000 guests per day in season. Will assist the Chef in running the line during service, involved in some ordering and management of staff. Must be willing to work hard, pitch in where necessary – we are a team oriented organization.

Located on Block Island, RI which is a small island off the coast of Rhode Island. Only accessible by ferry or plane, Block Island sees an influx of summer visitors averaging 10,000 – 15,000 guests per day. It is much like turning back the clock as there are no fast food places, no malls, not even a traffic light. The Nature Conservancy named it one of the last great places in the world. It offers beautiful beaches, great hiking, quaint shops and many other outdoor activities.

Does require living on the island and housing is provided. The housing is dorm style and located right on property. Meals are included.

This position is May through September. There is a possibility of winter employment at our sister restaurant in Naples, FL.
