Snow Cat Mechanic needed at Ski Area near Denver, Colorado

Overview:
Snowmaking is critical for the success of our resort. The Snowcat mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our equipment used across the mountain.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, maintains and installs component parts of heavy equipment vehicles such as snow cats (primarily Prinoth), snowmobiles, generators, front end loader, UTV, and more
• Services and/or repairs all assigned vehicles and related light and heavy mechanical equipment
• High safety responsibility and sensibility to maintain safe environment for yourself, fellow employees and guests
• Ability to learn how to operate all equipment including snowcats to perform daily snow grooming
• Perform basic mountain operations
• Ability to safely operate authorized vehicles for on-mountain projects, maintenance and guest assistance
• Participate in safe and reliable summer and winter maintenance programs so that work is accomplished in a complete, orderly and timely manner
• Maintain good working relationship and communicate with co-workers
• Receive daily instructions from Supervisor and/or Management
• Ensure management is immediately informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, or system malfunctions
• Ensure that all records required by Echo Mountain and any authorities having jurisdiction are maintained and kept up-to-date including all mechanical and operational procedures, daily maintenance, operational logs, failures and incidents
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

• Diesel Mechanic Knowledge & Experience
• Previous experience in ski area operations or maintenance
• Snowcat Operator Experience
