Resident Care Assistant

Galleria Woods, a premier retirement community in Hoover, Alabama is recruiting in our 24 bed Assisted Living Unit Resident Care Assistants:

• Full time 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. every other weekend.
• Part time 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. some week day nights and other 1st and 3rd weekend.
• Part time 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. some week day evenings and every other 1st and 3rd weekend.

Pay Rate: $12.50 – $13.25 per hour

Required skills and qualifications:

• Prefer current nursing assistant certification (CNA) in the state of Alabama.
• Current CPR and first aid certifications a plus
• One of more years’ experience as a CNA or Resident Care Associate. .
• Must enjoy working with the senior population.
• Ability to pass a drug and criminal background.
• Excellent attendance record.

Y our responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Transfer residents to and from activities and meals according to their individual service plans.
• Serve meals to residents in the dining room or their apartments.
• Record and report changes in residents’ eating habits to supervisor.
• Promote quality services within company, state and federal regulations.
