The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch
The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch is an all-inclusive, upscale riding and horsemanship guest ranch limited to approx. 22 guests weekly with a 6-night stay. All guests arrive on Sunday and leave Saturday morning. As you can read from our guests’ testimonials, we offer a very personal, small, and intimate experience. We care deeply about our guests, staff, horses, and land. Our ranch is in the tiny hamlet of Shell, Wyoming east of Cody and Yellowstone National Park at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. With a backyard of 650,000 acres in an area with tremendous diversity of scenery and altitudes ranging from 4,200 to 13,100 feet, you seldom see the same trail twice. Since its beginnings, The Hideout has always been an exceptionally clean, organized, and well-maintained ranch. It is one of the reasons many of our repeat guests return year after year. The 3 C’s of Character, Conduct and Competence are at the core of our Culture. Integrity, honesty and genuinely caring about our guests, your co-workers and owners are an important part of this.
At The Hideout, we all live healthy, fun, active outdoors lifestyles. We eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis. That is also why our guests travel to The Hideout. Embracing this lifestyle is key to joining our team.

The core of our culture is what we call The 3 C’s of Character, Conduct, and Competence. We can train someone for Competence, but the other two C’s (Character and Conduct) are inherent and tell a lot about a person based on how they behave and present themselves in all situations. Although we work hard, we also have a lot of fun. Our goal is to be the best. To help us achieve that goal, we try to pick the best staff possible and take care of them to the best of our abilities. Being part of our team will enrich your life experiences and create memories for both you and the guests we serve.
The goal of our staff and management is to make sure our guests have a fantastic time with positive lasting memories. We look for people who are willing to work hard; who operate equally well when working alone or as part of a team; who are honest, friendly, and enthusiastic and have a good sense of humor; who enjoy interacting with guests, and who get a great sense of satisfaction from providing excellent service to our guests. No drug use at all is allowed, and employees are subject to a random drug test on request by employers. No alcohol is to be consumed before or during workdays.
