Experienced chef needed for a new guest ranch near Bozeman, Montana focused on cattle, fishing, and hunting, located 50 miles from the Bozeman airport. The ranch is owned and shared by six families, all of whom enjoy food, wine, and the great outdoors. Guest lodging, staff lodging, and a new kitchen will be completed in July 2022. The owners, their families, and guests anticipate using the lodge +/- 120 days between July 1, 2022, and December 15, 2022.

Starting in 2023, the lodge will be open and a chef required between May 1 and December 15. Most groups will consist of 6-12 guests. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are to be served each day that members and guests are at the lodge.

The ranch owners feel strongly that a chef will set the tone for the entire guest experience and are looking forward to partnering with the right person for that task. A wide range of culinary skills is a must, and the right candidate should have the ability to provision and prep meals ranging from Continental Cuisine, Wild Game, Classic American Fare, and Seafood just to name a few.

Expectations are for creative salads, desserts, pastries, bread, etc. The ability to prepare a gluten-free alternative alongside traditional meals is required. While the position is seasonal, for the right candidate the position could become a year-round role.

Roughly 80% of all meals are plated and served by way of formal dining. During the summer months, there will be lunches and dinners served riverside while guests enjoy trout fishing on the ranch’s private streams.
