Naturalist, Outdoor Instructor

Set in the San Bernardino Mountains and equidistant from LA, San Diego, and the beach if you’re looking for Christian community and a job that doesn’t feel like a work, we’re the place for you!

As a Naturalist, you will lead 5-8th graders on hikes while instructing hands-on classes in science, wilderness survival, and leadership over the course of 4 days and 3 nights. In addition to leading meals, all-camp games, campfire nights, and challenge course activities you will develop life skills that will prepare you for future careers and stretch you spiritually.

Qualified Naturalists have:

– A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, and a desire to work in ministry, dedicated to drawing others to faith in God

– A high school diploma (required)

– A BS/BA/AA or higher in life science, biological science, physical science, parks & recreation, or equivalent combination of education & experience (preferred, not required)

– Previous formal or informal teaching experience, including lesson planning & public speaking

– The physical fitness and mental fortitude to trail walk 1-4 miles/day (low intensity) and work longer camp days

Pay: $620.00 – $660.00 per week
