Alaska’s Gold Creek Lodge is a full-service adventure lodge offering all-inclusive packages as well as nightly lodging. Located in King Salmon, Alaska on the banks of the Naknek River, at the entrance to Katmai National Park. Just a hop skip from the famous Brooks Falls. Alaska’s Gold Creek Lodge offers guided and unguided excursions from; Boat and fly-out fishing for 5 species of Salmon and trophy Rainbow Trout in the world-famous Bristol Bay region, to Bear viewing adventures in Katmai National Park, Wildlife photo safaris, backcountry fishing and scenic ATV adventures, Walrus adventures, Kayaking on the Naknek River, and much more! The perfect remote Alaska base camp, complete with comfortable lodging, great food, and endless adventures for those who love to explore. The ability to live and work in a remote wilderness environment with limited internet access is required for all positions!

Professional Sous Chef or Pastry Chef

Do you love adventure? This position is for a professional Sous chef or Pastry Chef with culinary experience and professional culinary training. All food that is served to our guests is prepared and created by you and the Head Chef from scratch, and quality controlled.  This is a hands-on position for a professionally trained Pastry or Sous Chef, who takes pride in the preparing, plating, and garnishing of every dish that leaves the kitchen, including desserts. This is not a “fake it till you make it” kind of thing. This is a position for a Sous Chef or Pastry Chef with a good attitude, who has a strong work ethic, who can interact positively small staff, and get along well with others. The food that you help prepare must be the highest professional quality and delicious. You must be able to help accommodate a wide range of dietary needs, and be able to prepare delicious high quality meals (a set menu each evening) for 10-35 guests, and family style meals for 20 staff. This is a demanding position, so it is important to be in good mental and physical condition, free from substances. Ability to help create great dishes from scratch and plan a set menu with your recipes is essential. You must be able to plan, organize and provision ahead. A stable fun personality, positive mental attitude, team player, organized, clean, and physically able to perform the demanding tasks a Sous / chef is required to perform…..are all qualities we look for in a candidate.The Chef is the only position at our lodge who is allotted a private room. Current Serve Safe certification is required. Please contact us for more information. Previous lodge experience in Alaska is a plus but not required. This is a salaried position based on experience. Our season will run from June 1-October 5, 2021. Alaska’s Gold Creek Lodge is a non smoking property.
