Eleven Experience is quickly expanding its operations in the Northern Patagonia region. We are seeking two creative, passionate, flexible, collaborative team members to manage our fishing operation from November through March. Learn more about our lodges at Www.Elevenexperience.com.

The Lodge Manager jobs are seasonal positions located in Puerto Cardenas and La Junta, Chile. The Lodge Managers are responsible for managing the day-to-day fishing operation between the two lodges. Seeking candidates with previous experience in tourism and hospitality management. The ideal candidates are gritty, hardworking, adventurous individuals who can confidently manage a fast pace operation.

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. 

This opening is a management-level position requiring strong administrative skills, project management experience and the ability to work productively and independently. 

The start date is November 1st, 2022. 

Position Purpose

  •  Manage the guest experience and operations team during the fishing season of December through March.
  • Manage the Lodge to the highest operational and maintenance standards.
  • Be the leader who leads by example and provides consistent and fair oversight of all positions.
  • Hire, train, and manage the hospitality, culinary, and housekeeping staff.
  • Work with the global Eleven team to further develop the product and offerings.

Responsibilities & Duties

  •  Ensure that all guests receive the highest standard of service by completing regular property walkthroughs, pre-arrival room checks, and by utilizing music, lighting, and temperature to control the atmosphere.
  • Provide weekly reporting on the operation and financial performance.
  • Complete all daily and weekly tasks such as, checking guests in, checking guests out, and invoicing.
  • Manage staff housing assets and staff transport to ensure appropriate usage, care, and scheduling.
  • Track and report inventory, including but not limited to, toiletries, alcohol, food stocks, linens, and amenities, to ensure the lodge is always stocked to par.
  • Assist in the sourcing of lodge and culinary products.
  • Execute guest special requests.
  • Manage the staff schedule in accordance with country regulations and adapt weekly with consideration for bookings and priority projects.
  • Manage Property Maintenance Manager, Caretaker, and all subcontractors to ensure that all lodging facilities are in top condition and full working order.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Development Manager on all maintenance projects.
  • Plan and execute training alongside the Operations Manager.
  • Oversee employee performance and continuously provide on the job training.
  • Work directly with the Head Chef to ensure consistency and culinary excellence while staying within budget.
  • Responsible for supervising the kitchen crew when the head chef is off duty.
  • Manage the housekeeping team to ensure lodge standards are being met daily.
  • Assist with meal service and housekeeping as needed.
  • Maintain responsible spending within budget.
  • Ensure owner visits are planned for and supported.
  • Work directly with Fleet Director and Operations Manager to ensure proper training, use and maintenance of vehicles and vessels.
  • Oversee the bar operations, inventory, and ordering.
  •  Prepare all required paperwork, including financial reports, payroll, forms, ad-hoc reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.


  • A minimum of three years of experience in hospitality management.
  •  Management/Leadership Experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
  • Ability to clearly communicate daily and under pressure, while working long hours in a remote location.
  •  Ability and willingness to learn before inserting perspective or attempting to change routine and workflow.
  • Experience effectively managing a complete team of lodge employees.
  • Efficient and effective time management skills.
  • Efficient and effective communicator in both Spanish and English.
