Chilmark Tavern is hiring enthusiastic and hard-working line cooks for our 2022 season. Join our fun crew, sharpen your kitchen skills, and learn from a great chef. This will be a season you will not forget.

Line Cooks are responsible for coming in to work in the early afternoon, prepping their station, setting up their station, working the service shift, and breaking down/cleaning with the rest of the team. Line Cooks are expected to work 5nights per week. Everyone has two nights off/per week.

We are a team-oriented kitchen with an “anything it takes to get things done” attitude.

Ideally, we are looking for cooks who have previous experience cooking grill or sauté in high volume, fast-paced kitchens. We want to hire people who love what they do, and who want to grow and learn. You must be able to keep calm in a stressful setting, keep organized, keep clean, be able to be on your feet for long shifts, and not be afraid of hard work. Two + years’ experience cooking in high volume/finer dining or upscale casual settings preferred but we are happy to train someone with a great attitude and willingness to learn.

We are looking for someone who will be available full-time for our full season (mid-May 2022- September 2022). We might have some slight flexibility with arrival and departure dates and can determine that on a case-by-case basis.

Housing in our group employee off-site house is available, at a reasonable cost, for the right candidate. Housing will cost @$190/week, inclusive of all utilities, internet, etc.

We will pay between $18-25/hour, based on experience. Salaried positions are also available. We collect a Kitchen Fair Wage/Appreciation fee of 3.5% on all checks and that money is shared amongst the kitchen staff.
