Who We Are: Our family-owned restaurant is located in a lodge and serves approximately 10,000 people per season. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. We have a set menu and regular guests as well as vacationers in our family-friendly establishment.

If you are hired at Sky Line, you can expect to work hard, make good money, and have a great time in one of the most beautiful and unique vacation spots in the country. Lots of beautiful scenery and great fishing. The lodge is located on the site of an old mining town at an elevation of 10,000 feet. Average daily high temps are 65-70 degrees. COOL! The Conejos River runs through the property and the Platoro Reservoir is only a short distance away.

Who We Are Looking For: We will consider housekeepers with minimal experience, who are diligent employees, willing to learn and work hard. We’re located in a very remote area, and all staff lives on site. Housing is available and deducted out of pay. Our staff lives and works together, so compatibility is very important. A pleasant working environment is as important as work quality. On your time off, enjoy fishing, hiking, reading, site seeing, and the best relaxing you can imagine. Our housekeepers will need to have great attention to detail and be flexible to work both alone and in a team environment. Responsibilities will include daily cleanliness of guest cabins, turning cabins over for the next guests, and monitoring linens and laundry. When guest room duties are finished, housekeepers will be expected to help in other areas of the Lodge as needed including keeping the grounds attractive and other areas of need.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform their duties satisfactorily.

Other Duties:

  • Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens; make beds.
  • Clean cabin kitchens including all countertops, floors, silverware, dishes, and appliances.
  • Move furniture, as needed, to sweep, vacuum, and mop.
  • Dust furniture, blinds, decorations, and all surfaces.
  • Empty all wastebaskets and ensures cleanliness.
  • Clean bathrooms; including all showers, toilets, sinks, counters, tile, and floors.
  • Replenish all supplies in cabins and laundry facility.
  • Note and communicate any noted damage, extra dirty units, or lost & found items to supervisors.
  • Comply with all Lodge policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor toward customers and co-workers.

These duties are an overview of the range of responsibilities and are not an inclusive list of tasks and expectations. With the ebb and flow of the season, the responsibilities of the position may change.

WAGE:

Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity and quality of production, and responsibilities. Pay Range:$14 – $18hr.

Room and Board are included in your employment package and deducted from your pay at a rate of $55 per day.

  • Includes: Basic living necessities. The room will come furnished with a bed, somewhere to put your clothes, and two bathrooms in the employee living quarters. A recreation room is also included for employee time off. Utilities such as heat, electricity, and WiFi are provided. You are also provided 3 meals a day/7 days a week.
