At Stonewater Cove, great attention is paid to making the guest experience authentic, wholesome, and inspiring. It is the responsibility of all staff to make the guest’s vacation as smooth and memorable as possible by maintaining a friendly and comfortable environment throughout the property, guest, and staff areas alike. Ideal candidates will have a passion for high-end service and guest satisfaction, with an equally strong work ethic suitable to this rugged wilderness setting. Teamwork is imperative, as different days and changing guests bring different challenges in maintaining such an intimate, family-like atmosphere. All staff must be professional and courteous and must have a willingness to help each other whenever needed. Half an hour from the nearest small town, our ‘family’ operates with integrity and respect in this peaceful hidden Ozark Mountain escape.


We are looking to fill the following positions:

HOUSE STAFF (seasonal): Willingness to work in all departments, with a passion for luxury service, guest satisfaction, and a professional work ethic suitable to this wilderness setting. Must be flexible and fill in wherever needed, being comfortable in a ‘floating’ hospitality role. Will servers, dishwashers, kitchen help, housekeepers, guides, grounds crew, and general labor as necessary.

SERVER/ BARTENDER(seasonal): Help in all aspects of the F&B department, including maintaining a clean and presentable lodge and kitchen in addition to all guest meal services. Must be an energetic and enthusiastic person with a genuine love for people, and must exhibit superior customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism. Very low volume bar operation with a major emphasis on beverage knowledge and craft cocktail experiences for our guests, including pairings and tastings.

EXECUTIVE CHEF(seasonal, long-term): Responsible for all kitchen activities, including but not limited to prep and cooking, inventories, meal planning and cost tracking, managing and maintaining a clean and friendly workplace in the kitchen, and working with other team members and service staff to ensure guest expectations are exceeded at every meal. Must know multiple cooking styles, and know how to manage vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergy, or any other specific food requests. Although we have a few staple dishes, menus can change day-to-day or week-to-week based on ingredients and particular guest demographics. Must be qualified to cook Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, including desserts, breads, sweets, and snacks.

AM/PASTRY CHEF (seasonal): Aiding the Chefs in all kitchen activities while maintaining a clean and friendly workplace. Breakfast and pastry/dessert experience required the ability to perform multiple cooking styles and manage special food requests. The kitchen is a small operation and we’re looking for someone to help the chefs in all areas necessary as we strive to serve the freshest food possible while

ACTIVITY GUIDES(seasonal, long-term): BOATING- SKI/WAKEBOARD- ATVs Lead groups of 2-10 guests in activities such as ATV tours, Leisure Cruise, and Water-sports Boating Excursions, Zip-Line, and Challenge Course Adventures. Boating experience and license are required for all boating operations. Ideal candidates will have experience operating boats and ATVs, must be adventurous yet cautious and at home in the outdoors, eager to take guests out for an unforgettable experience in the great outdoors, but always doing so with a safety-first mindset knowing that the wilderness and its adventures are all-natural hazards. Guides are responsible for the daily upkeep of all amenities, equipment, and trails to ensure readiness for guest use at any time. Guest safety is always first, so daily checks and maintenance of things are imperative. Maintaining a clean kitchen and stations daily, including maintaining clean floors and a clear dish-pit area.

MAINTENANCE TECH / CARETAKER (full-time): Responsible for general upkeep of all resort areas and equipment; i.e. interiors and exteriors, paths and roadways, landscaping and water features, pool and docks, and any other general labor needed. Must be flexible and hands-on in working with the maintenance crew. Basic skill sets concerning small equipment carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and landscaping/grounds necessary. Experience operating heavy equipment preferred. This is a career opportunity and the right candidate would be provided private on-site housing as part of the employment arrangement.

RESERVATIONS / OFFICE: Responsible for handling phone and email inquiries in the lodge; reservations, concierge services, and general office help as deemed necessary by management. Assist on-site guests as needed, and help with the general upkeep of all Lodge facilities. Must be flexible and willing to assist in other departments as well if necessary.


While most opportunities are seasonal positions, we’re hoping to find the right people that want to continue with us year after year. Our 2022 season jobs begin immediately and will run through the first weekend of November. Most are hourly positions but some of the opportunities are salaried, and compensation will be based on experience and paid every 2 weeks. Further, our guests pay a service charge fee and all team members will be eligible for an appropriate share of the general tip-pool bonus funds at the end of their seasonal commitment. Our guests enjoy a cashless, non-tipping resort experience and all gratuities are to be consolidated and shared by the team.

Housing is free and available with all utilities included while employed, subject to a standard living agreement. There is a semi-private staff building that has 14 individual rooms with queen beds and 6 private bathrooms, 2 large common areas with wi-fi, satellite TV and DVD players, laundry facilities, and a large connecting kitchen. Due to shared housing, pets will not be allowed for seasonal employees.

Full Board is not included; however, individual refrigerators are in each room and there are fully-stocked community kitchens to share.


Successful employees will pride themselves on exceeding service expectations and putting 100% into their work, but be equally happy in enjoying 100% of their time off. Those who become easily bored by the extremely remote location will likely not enjoy this unique opportunity to live and work in the middle of the wilderness.
