Camp Androscoggin is the summer home for 250 boys between ages 8 and 15 and 100 staff. For over a century, campers and counselors have been playing sports, participating in a host of individual activities, forming life-long friendships, and sharing summers to remember on our 120-acre lakeside campus.
The Head of Sail position is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role and create and manage an instructional and competitive program.
Our fleet consists of Hartley 12’s and 15’s and 420’s and several ribs/skiffs to be used as monitoring and coach boats. In addition, there is also a windsurf component to the program.
The sail staff is made up of three other counselors, all with previous sailing experience, but not all with teaching experience.
Job requirements
- Prior dinghy sailing/coaching experience
- Interest in and experience working with school-age children
- US Sailing Level 1 Instructor or other equivalent certification
