Front Gate/Camp Hosts at Marina in California

Crowley Lake Fish Camp is a full-service marina and campground located right off Highway 395, 12 miles South of Mammoth Lakes. Our location offers some of the best boating, fishing, hiking, biking and living in the Eastern Sierra!

Each spring, from mid-April through October, we form a tight-knit community in our picturesque mountain environment. We look for good workers, but also good people – reliable, interesting individuals who respect themselves and others and can handle the responsibilities of living and working in a small, diverse community. The most successful staff members are team players who are compatible with the service industry, hardworking, enthusiastic, appreciative of our beautiful natural setting and take pride in a job well done.

Physical Requirements
Front Gate/ Camp host positions require some physical activity, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, bending and kneeling. Employees should be able to lift 10-20 pounds consistently.

Job Description/ Front Gate

• Live in your own camper or RV at our Front Gate/ entrance station
• Perform general clerk duties at the front gate.
• Assists with guest relations, guest check-ins
• Help to monitor marina operations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Must have good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Basic computer skills and customer service experience are essential
• Knowledge of fishing is a huge plus.

Front Gate hours 4-5 days per week, approximately 4pm to 9pm. Have your days free for adventures!

As a Camp host, you would be stationed in your RV at our Front Gate. (Water, sewer, and electric provided) You would be one of our emergency contacts after hours. A big factor in this position is to be a presence and provide security. There are opportunities for more work and more income during holiday and busy periods and during the set-up and break-down of facilities.

Room and Board

Bring your own RV. Stay here on our grounds for the season and enjoy all the amenities of the facility and area. Ideally, you plan to work seasonally in the Eastern Sierra for years to come.

For Fun

You’ll have your pick of just about anything you can imagine. Take out a boat or a kayak and enjoy the lake for a while. We are close to many of the local attractions, and real close to some great secret spots if you need a little solitude on your days off.

Your two days off are the perfect opportunity for extended adventures wherever you want to go. Many staffers take time to explore the beautiful peaks, lakes, and trails of the Eastern Sierra, literally in our backyard.
