Dining Room Manager Duties:

  • Responsible for the daily operation of dining room and lounge, executing 100 – 200 covers per meal
  • Responsible for orientation, training, and daily supervision of front of house staff
  • Responsible for beverage and labor cost goals
  • Assist with ideas for restaurant promotions, marketing ideas, signature dishes/drinks, area visibility, etc.
  • Prepare weekly schedule based on anticipated retail and banquet cover counts
  • Weekly beer, wine, and liquor ordering and monthly beverage inventory
  • Maintain customer service standards, handle complaints, promote a positive guest experience
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front office on group and banquet business; oversee front of house banquet service
  • Cleanliness, organization, and set up of dining room, lounge, and storage areas
  • Beverage cost controls (pricing, waste, portion control, etc)
  • Maintain computer functions (menu programming, item inventory, pricing, specials, etc)
  • Act as host, cashier, or bartender on a regular basis
  • Season Dates – early May to late October
