Little People's Learning Center

If you are interested in working with young children and love getting outside, this is the job for you!

Little People’s Learning Center is a dynamic preschool/daycare located just within the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We serve kids between the ages of 3 months and 5 years, with a focus on place-based, exploration-centered learning.

We are currently hiring for full-time Assistant Teacher to start in November 2021. Year-long and short contracts are available depending on fit and interest. These teachers could potentially work with all our age groups.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Completing training
  • Supervising kids at play
  • Cleaning, food prep and other support
  • Planning, teaching and leading fun activities
  • Helping on field trips and walking in Yellowstone National Park
  • Working as a team to keep kids safe, happy and healthy
  • Reading lots of picture books and snuggling

Pay starts at $12 an hour, with raises based on job performance and increased responsibilities available. Some housing is available, but not guaranteed, although we will help the right candidate with the housing search.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to pass a TB risk assessment, a background check, and central registry checks
  • At least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift and transport children up to the age of 5
  • A strong work ethic and team mentality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience supervising children
  • Demonstrated ability to handle loud and/or high stress situations calmly

BENEFITS

  • Paid sick leave (as accrued) and paid vacation (can be taken after 6 months)
  • Compensation for 16 training hours and $150 in mileage and registration for employee training
