Dates of Employment: June 15- August 13, 2022

Pay starts at $3, 440 for the summer including food and housing for the duration of employment.

Camp staff at Camp Lutherwood Oregon are responsible for the safety and well-being of all campers. Each staff member will build a safe and caring community with their cabin engaging campers in fun, creative and safe experiences, and activities. Staff members are expected to show, through words and actions their commitment to service, community, and the environment. All Camp Lutherwood Oregon staff are expected to work collaboratively with all other staff members in order to complete the task of serving all campers and guests in the spirit of hospitality. Camp Lutherwood Oregon programs include faith and spiritual elements, but this is not required for employment.

Pre-Summer Expectations

  • Complete all online training videos and pass all the required quizzes
  • Attend all of staff orientation
  • Arrive at camp with current First Aid & Adult/Child CPR certifications
  • Be fully vaccinated (including boosters) against COVID-19

General Summer Expectations
Take full responsibility for the group of campers or camp area to which you have been assigned by:

  • Guiding campers to live with others by respecting the uniqueness of each person
  • Putting campers and their needs first at all times
  • Supervising campers at all times, except during designated personal time off, including after lights out in the cabin at night
  • Setting a good example for campers and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing, chores, sportsmanship, table manners, and respect for others

Physical Expectations: Ability to work long shifts and wake up fairly easily when sleeping in case of emergency
